The Autumn Rite

The corn, usually depicted as a stalk of wheat, is actually symbolic of something else. It is not just the grain or the harvest. If you've ever seen a picture of a Pagan Earth Mother or a Goddess of Grain, like Demeter, you'll start to get a feel for what I mean here. These iconic images alternate between the Goddess in question holding a baby or holding a single stalk of grain. The reason for that is that the child and the grain are the same thing. As ally to the Corn Mother, as a modern descendant of the ancient wolf priests and the shamans and witches who transformed themselves into wolves upon the Astral, you must figure out what that means for you.
