This rite can be done whenever you have need of a Circle for your spells and/or rituals. It is a necessary part of the four Seasonal Rites, but it should also be cast for any esbat working you may want to do. You may notice that this ritual starts with making holy water, but not the Altar Consecration. There is no need to make holy water twice to do a Circle Cast. It’s merely put there for your convenience so that you don’t have to shuffle more papers when you are going into ritual.
